At some point in their career, most women struggle on their leadership development journey. Their next step might not be clear, or they haven’t identified the strategies needed to reach it. Or maybe they aren’t getting the performance results they want. This struggle can leave them feeling frustrated and discouraged.
We created the Hope Leadership Experience to give you the clarity, confidence, and strategies you need to transition into your next role with success. This experiential development journey will provide you with:
Clarity in what’s important to you—your values and priorities. A clear picture of what is and isn’t working—an assessment of your work. Clarity in where you want to go—your vision and goals.
Confidence in knowing your strengths and their value to the organization. Confidence in how to grow your strengths and use them to increase collaboration and nurture your relationships.
Strategies identified through our strategic planning framework. Strategies to leverage your strengths to get the results you want. Strategies to achieve your vision and goals.
It’s an experiential journey where you learn from experienced coaches who guide you on your path of professional growth and through our strategic planning framework.
It’s an intentional focus on self to help you discover what’s important to you, identify how you spend your time, assess where you are today, and evaluate where you want to go.
It’s a deep dive into your natural talents via CliftonStrengths and into the strategies that will show you how to grow your natural talents into strengths.
It’s a creative space where you will be inspired to ideate on your leadership development journey and create a vision of your future.
It’s a collaborative environment where you can formulate your goals and identify the strategies you need to reach them.
It’s a set of tools and habits to help prioritize the important, increase your productivity and plan more strategically.
The cohort for this three-month journey is intentionally kept small so each woman gets individualized attention. Each component has been designed to enhance the experience and provide you with the leadership skills and tools you need to succeed.
strengths assessment
You’ll start your journey by taking the CliftonStrengths Assessment. Based on over 40 years of research, the hour-long assessment will help uncover your natural talents. During the on-line assessment, you'll see paired statements and choose which ones best describe you. The assessment is good for life so you will not have to retake the assessment if you have already taken it.
customized strengths profile
The assessment produces your customized CliftonStrengths reports and guides that help identify what makes you powerful, how you get things done, and how you interact with others.
development plan
To help you continue to grow after the experience, your coaches will give you specific ideas for a development plan.
one-on-one coaching
You’ll engage with a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach for one-on-one coaching sessions. These are designed to fit your specific goals and needs.
group coaching circle
You’ll join the women from your sabbatical for a group coaching session. This dynamic accountability session will take place after the sabbatical so it will focus on results and problem-solving.
two-night sabbatical
You’ll join a small group of 6-10 women for a two-night sabbatical. More than a retreat or seminar, a sabbatical is an intentional break from the busyness of work and life to refocus, recharge, and reset.
The sabbatical is the foundation of your development experience and where we will lead you through the strategic-planning framework. As you develop your strategic plan, you learn the process and tools.
Sabbaticals occur in locations with a connection to nature and intimate spaces used for self-reflection and quiet conversations. You’ll choose from a list of sabbatical dates and locations.

You’ll evaluate where you are through a robust assessment technique.
You’ll spend time creating a vision through a series of creative exercises that help you dream bigger than ever before.
You’ll identify your priorities and goals to create your plan of action.
You’ll be able to use this process again and again in the years to come. It can work with your project teams, your department teams, and even with your family.
